The Mennonite Heritage village museum is a wonderful place to go and learn about the history of the Mennonite people, or to quite simply go and reflect on its rich history. I learnt a few new things and saw some interesting artifacts. Very recommended to go and visit.

If you like museums, this is a must see. It is a treat to go back in time and see how Mennonite development changed over the five or six generations of they have been in Canada. A true testament to ingenuity, hard work, and faith.

Didnt know this place existed until I went hang gliding next door, but sure glad I found it! Cute museum, with great food! Ended up spending a couple hours here walking around

This is a lovely little museum. Most of it is outdoors so go on a nice day. We learned a lot about Mennonite people and what their life must have been like when they came to Canada. Several houses and business are set up, with original tools/furniture so you get a very good idea of their lives. There is a restaurant, 2 gift shops and good bathrooms. Clean and friendly place.

Although there are similar museum experience to other heritage type historic villages, this is a focus on the fascinating and oft tragic part of the Mennonite as they fled European persecution and into western canada (and other global locations). This is a must see if you are in any way curious about this diaspora and their influence on Canadian development primarily in the rural west. The artifacts confirming rite of passage to the Mennonites and an ability to practice religion in Canada "unmolested" (as was not the case in Europe) in areas of land set aside for their use is remarkable and something to be truly proud of.I was lucky enough to visit during Heritage Days and was treated to extra exhibits and tasty waffles!
