Flash back to the past when you walk in the doors. Friendly staff with lots of knowledge. Great atmosphere. Never leave disappointed.
Spencer was fantastic as usual.
Piercer is inexperienced and the 'piercing room' looks very unprofessional and doesn't look as clean as it should be. **A warning to those wanting a cartilage piercing, you get it pierced with a gun here, piercer refuses to do it with a needle. And because it's done with a gun, it'll be the same size as a earring you'd be putting in your earlobes, meaning youd have to stretch out your piercing in order to actually wear cartilage jewlery. In total I've gotten 3 piercings here over a year ago. Two lobes and one cartilage. I was a bit hesitant with piercing my cartilage using a gun since I had heard it wasn't the safest way to do it. When I voiced my concern, the piercer 'geny' or whatever her name was, told me it would actually be 'less painful', would 'heal quicker' and in general be the better option. She kept saying it would take longer and basically refusing to pierce it with a needle. A gun being the 'better way' is a fat lie. Prior to piercing my ears at this inexperienced shop, I had gotten my cartilage done with a needle at Soul Survivor (which was a far better experience). The needle actually hurt less and healed faster than the one I got done at Vivid Hair Salon with a gun. The piercer also told me that 'if I didn't do it now, I wouldn't ever do it' acting like if I didn't go thru with this piercing today, I would be wasting her time. Throughout the whole appointment she seemed very obnoxious and rude. Almost a year later my piercing is healed but it is crooked. Every piece of jewlery I put in my ear is crooked and doesn't lie flat against my ear because the piercer, pierced my ear at an angle. Apparently she has a problem with piercing things straight and with a needle. My sister has also gotten an industrial bar done here over summertime by the same women who had pierced my ears last February. The piercer visibly struggled pushing the needle thru my sister's ear. Shows how experienced she must be if she struggled pushing a needle thru a thin piece of cartilage! After she had finished struggling pushing the needle thru my sister's ear, it had started to bleed; which is reasonable. But the piercer decided to tape a Band-Aid on her ear! Seems very professional.... We also had to ask for the piercing cleaner after having paid for my sister's industrial bar. As you can tell, she obviously didn't go over the healing and cleaning process with us if she didn't even think of handing us some cleaner that was INCLUDED in the price. I guess it is true, you DO get what you pay for. I will not be coming here again. I'd rather pay double the price than have that 'experienced' piercer, pierce me again.
Nice atmosphere. Generally friendly staff. Great place for men's cuts.
Natalie is awesome, she's super sociable and makes getting your hair done a great time. She did my updo for my wedding as well and it turned out lovely.
